To maintain optimal battery performance and ensure accurate State of Charge (SoC) readings, it is important to charge the battery to 100% periodically. If a battery remains stationary or isn’t fully charged for an extended period, the displayed SoC level may shift, and the firmware could display incorrect values. The longer the battery goes without a full charge, the greater the deviation may become.
If the battery cuts off before reaching 0%, it is a signal that the battery has not been calibrated for a long time. When this happens, fully charge the battery to 100% as soon as possible. This will recalibrate the battery automatically, ensuring the firmware provides correct SoC readings and the battery operates efficiently.
Failure to charge the battery before it falls into undervoltage damages the battery permanently and voids warranty.
The following is an example of charging requirements represented by battery percentage vs standby time. Actual results may vary depending on storage conditions, battery age, use cycles, 4G connectivity.
⚠️ Always check the battery level after the ride and schedule to charge it accordingly:
ℹ️ We recommend always charging the battery to its full capacity.
ℹ️ The battery compartment of Vok has the capacity for 2 batteries, but the bike is still fully functional with a single battery (with reduced range).
1️⃣ Lift up the battery compartment lid.
2️⃣ Disconnect the vehicle connector from the empty battery. Take it out only if necessary.
3️⃣ Put in and connect the new battery.
4️⃣ Push the lid down and make sure all edges are sealed.
1️⃣ Lift up the battery compartment lid.
2️⃣ Disconnect the vehicle connector from the battery.
3️⃣ Plug in the charger connector to the battery socket.
4️⃣ Inspect the LED indicator to get the battery charged until required level.
5️⃣ Disconnect battery charger and reconnect the battery to the vehicle.
⚠️ Only use the original Vok specific batteries and charger supplied by the manufacturer! There is a risk of explosion if the battery or the charger is replaced with anything else than a genuine Vok Bikes battery!
