General Storage Guidelines:

  1. Location: If possible, store the vehicle in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
  2. Stability: Ensure the vehicle is stored on a stable and flat surface to prevent rolling or damage. Avoid enabling parking brakes and use wheel-chocks instead.
  3. Disconnection: If possible, disconnect and/or remove the battery from the vehicle to prevent any power drain.

Battery Storage:

  1. Charge Level: Before storing, ensure the battery is charged to about 50-70%. Avoid storing the battery fully charged or completely drained.
  2. Temperature: Store the battery in a cool, dry place with a temperature range between 10°C and 25°C. Extreme temperatures can reduce battery lifespan.
  3. Maintenance: Check the battery charge every three months and recharge if the level drops below 50%.

Long-term Storage:

  1. Preparation: Clean the vehicle thoroughly before storing to remove any dirt, grime, or salt that could cause corrosion.
  2. Tire Care: Inflate the tires to the recommended pressure to prevent flat spots. Consider using a stand to lift the tires off the ground.
  3. Brake Pads: To avoid the brake pads from getting stuck, release or remove brake pad bolts before storing the vehicle. This prevents the brake pad bolts from adhering to the brake pads, especially in humid conditions.
  4. Lubrication: Apply lubrication to the rod ends to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation when the vehicle is brought back into use.
