Tools needed
- Torque wrench
- 5 mm hex bit
- High-strength bearing retainer (Würth 0893603050, Loctite 680, Vibra-Tite 542 or equivalent)
- 4× DIN 912 M6 × 16 replacement bolts
- Hand threading tap with M6 bit

NB: When tapping, keep the threading tap aligned straight and stable. Avoid excessive force.

Replacement instructions
- Locate the roof frame bolts and unscrew them using a 5 mm hex bit.

- Clean threads with a hand threading tap (M6):
- Keep the tap straight and steady. Turn clockwise at a stable speed.
- If the tap binds - reverse a quarter to half a turn, then continue forward.
- Proceed until the tap passes fully through and turns freely.
- Carefully back the tap out and clean away residue.

- Apply bearing retainer to the threads of 4 new bolts. Install and torque to 9.5 Nm.

- Repeat steps 1–2 for the other side of the bike.
Curing time
- If using Würth 0893603050, allow to dry for at least 1 hour at room temperature before the bike is used.
