  1. COVERAGE

The warranty covers Vok Bikes [produced by Optigon OÜ, registered in Estonia with company number 14424376] electric cargo bikes and their components against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and regular maintenance.

The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

This Warranty Policy is supplementary and should be read in conjunction with one of the following agreements

(i) General Terms and Conditions of Sales

(ii) Sales Frame Agreement, or

(iii) Distribution Agreement

signed between Vok Bikes and the Buyer or the Distributor in the case of the Distribution Agreement. For the purposes of this Warranty Policy, the term 'Buyer' shall also apply to any distributors. In the event of any inconsistencies or conflicts between this Warranty Policy and the aforementioned agreements, the terms of the agreements shall prevail.

  1. LIMITATIONS

    1. Incidental or consequential damages: Our warranty does not cover any incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of time, loss of income, for any inconvenience, or transportation costs.
    2. Warranty period: The warranty for our bikes starts from the delivery of the Vehicle from Vok Bikes [or a shipping provider] to the Buyer. Vok Bikes will provide the Buyer with a written notice specifying the warranty period applicable to each individual vehicle purchased, ensuring clarity regarding the duration of warranty coverage. The warranty period is:
      1. 60 months [or 75,000 km, whichever comes first] for the frame;
      2. 24 months [or 30,000 km, whichever comes first] for the drivetrain incl. battery, motors, generator, controllers, ECU;
      3. 12 months for all other components.
    3. Add-ons: Our warranty does not cover optional add-ons and accessories supplementary to the Vehicles.
    4. Geographies: Full warranty, including spare parts and components and performing the repairs, applies in areas of Vok-certified maintenance providers. The list of Vok-certified maintenance providers is available from the Vok Bikes website and is updated regularly.

  2. EXCLUSIONS

The warranty does not cover damage or defects resulting from

  1. Misuse, abuse, or neglect of the Vehicle
  2. Unauthorised modifications, repairs, or alterations
  3. Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to
    1. tyre wear
    2. brake pads
    3. normal reduction in battery capacity
    4. normal deterioration of paint or finishes
    5. chips, scrapes, scuffs, dents, discolouration on vehicle surfaces and windows
    6. degradation of seals
    7. wear in bearings and suspension bushings
  4. Damage caused by accidents, collisions, or improper storage
  5. Use of the electric bike in a manner inconsistent with the Vok User Manual or the intended purpose of delivering lightweight cargo in an urban environment as described in more detail in Sales Terms and Conditions or in individual agreements between the Buyer and Vok Bikes.
  6. Failing to perform regular maintenance as outlined in the Vok User Manual and Vok Service Guidelines and failing to provide proof of regular authorised inspections and maintenance based on Recommended Inspection and Replacement Intervals as outlined in the Vok Service Guidelines.
