In order for VOK to work properly, it must successfully go through four working stages:
- Power up stage - successful when PCU, ECU and Battery or Charger are working.
- Start stage - successful when RFID card reader is working.
- Ride stage - successful when Motors, Generator and their Controllers are working.
- Peripheral stage - successful when LCD display, lights, signals, wiper, USB charger and other peripherals are working.
If any problem is experienced during any of the stages - the specific stage needs to be troubleshooted and fixed before proceeding to the next one.
There are these external wire harnesses which may be affected and they can lead to a malfunction:
- External motor wire harnesses - they go from the motors to the HIGO connector behind the front panel.
- Handlebar wires harness - it goes from the handlebar to the generator housing.
- Battery connectors - they are placed inside the battery compartment.
All these wire harnesses should be regularly inspected for any wire or connector damage.
